1947 Pontiac Lead Sled
« on: November 03, 2013, 09:10:42 AM »
Hey everyone. Sorry been a while since I posted anything. Just wanted to update you on the going-ons. I traded my gasser plus $$$$ for a 1947 Pontiac streamliner. It is a project, but it has good bones and skin to work with. Its ultimately going to be a low sleek lead sled. Over the next year I am going to cut, chop, shave, hit, weld, sand, build, french, and bend. All these will indubitably lead to me kicking screaming, cursing, crying (in a manly way), and taking time outs. So far I slammed it 3 inches (gonna go one more inch), removed some crap, and bought some more crap. Its gonna get bottom and top painted, new block, frenched tail lights, 1950 buick grill, 1940 chevy bumpers, and lots more. ideas, suggestions, and Tylenol always appreciated!

I'd like to see pics of the grille you're going to put on the car.

What's under the hood ?

 :dunno:

Now you need to access / or join the HAMB  aka The Jalopy Journal, if you've not done so already.

Ha! No problem. I would love to get a pontiac 400, but $$ and distance tracking one down may be an issue. I'll do everything I can but it's going to be ffffffffar from original anyway. We'll see. I'll yank the block next week. Then chassis and body work. I'll be patient and look for a 400.
