purple power, scotch bright/pressure washer might have been too much lol took some of the paint off down to the primer...no biggy...painting it satin black next weekend hopefully it wont be super windy

removed all the clutch, throttle, hood latch prop rod and hinges from the engine bay next weekend were taking any stupid brackets off as well....not gonna have any of it getting a pin on hood when i swap the nose to an 85/86 style LX nose (dont want fog lights) also getting the cowl with the 2 gauge holes...not running windshield wipers either

also picked these valve covers up today at the crappy atco swap meets lol

Te engine bay came out pretty good actually. I just used some SEM Hotrod black satin from summit on my rear housing and that stuff is pretty awesome, fyi. Those are some old school valve covers! Is that a plenum divider I see on the intake manifold? Isn't that a single plane torker or something? Interesting...

what's wrong with powerglides? there's 7 second cars that run powerglides.

Don't you really have to build the whole car around a powerglide? I mean you either need a really light car or lots of power with a broad torque band. And it's gotta be geared just right. I mean it may work out in the mustang because it should be fairly light.

maybe, dunno. your talking to a mopar guy,  , mopar got rid of their 2 speed trans' back in the 50's.

from what your saying, it makes sence. but i've seen a lot of bulletproof parts for powerglide trannys.
